The Tigers are on a hot streak, but the Bulldogs are strong on their home turf. Let's break down the matchups, look at the odds, and see if there's any value to be found in this game.
The Auburn Tigers Team Preview!
Auburn's been on fire this year, staying super consistent. They've only got one loss and are looking solid overall. The Tigers started strong with wins against Vermont, Houston, Kent State, North Alabama, Iowa State, North Carolina, and Memphis. Their only slip-up was against Duke on December 4. But since then, they've bounced back with another streak of wins, beating Richmond, Ohio State, Georgia State, Purdue, Monmouth, Missouri, Texas, South Carolina, and Mississippi State in a row, making their record 16-1 for the season.
In the game against Mississippi State on Tuesday, the Tigers came out strong after halftime with a solid 46-27 lead. Auburn kept up the pressure in the second half, cruising with a 42-39 edge to secure an impressive 88-66 win. Chad Baker-Mazara led the team with 20 points, two rebounds, two assists, and a steal. Denver Jones chipped in 13 points and three assists, while Miles Kelly matched his 13 points with 10 rebounds. Chaney Johnson also had a great game, scoring 17 points, grabbing eight rebounds, and blocking four shots.

On the Bulldogs side, they've been pretty steady this year. Georgia hasn't lost back-to-back games, although their last four games have been a bit up and down. They took down Tennessee Tech, Texas Southern, North Florida, Georgia Tech, and Alabama A&M before their first loss to Marquette. After that, they picked up wins against St. John's, Jacksonville, Notre Dame, Grand Canyon, Buffalo, Charleston Southern, and South Carolina State, then dropped another game to Ole Miss. In their last three games, Georgia beat Kentucky and Oklahoma but lost to Tennessee, making it a 14-3 record over their first 17 games.
When the Bulldogs faced the Vols on Wednesday, they were up 26-25 at halftime and things were looking pretty solid. But then Georgia got hit hard, losing 49-30 in the second half and ultimately falling 74-56. Asa Newell led the team with 13 points and five rebounds, while Silas Demary chipped in 12 points, four rebounds, two steals, and two assists. Off the bench, Dakota Leffew added eight points and two rebounds.

The Pick: Georgia Bulldogs +7.5 -120
I'm leaning towards Georgia for this matchup, even though it's a tough decision. Georgia really needs to step up after a rough second half against Tennessee, where they only shot 37.7%, were out-rebounded 35-29, and gave away 19 turnovers that led to 19 points for the Vols. They've scored less than 57 points in their last two losses and haven't hit 70 in all three losses this year, so they need to find some offense. Auburn has only played three actual road games since December 4, with the last two being super close, decided by five points or less. If Georgia can hold their ground at home, they might just snag a win.
