The Chiefs are still holding onto a slight edge as the Super Bowl favorites with odds at -1.5 as we dive into our Chiefs vs. Eagles prediction and Super Bowl picks, adding to the ever-growing list of Super Bowl predictions.

The Philadelphia Eagles Team Preview!

Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles hit their Week 5 bye with a 2-2 record, and fans were already clamoring for changes, doubting if Nick Sirianni would make it through the season. But then they went on a 10-game winning streak, Saquon Barkley nearly broke the single-season rushing record, and Vic Fangio's defense turned into one of the NFL's best.

Everything runs through Barkley on offense. The Eagles' offensive line is still top-notch in the NFL, helping their star running back become just the ninth player to hit 2,000 rushing yards in a season. Jalen Hurts has had his ups and downs, making the passing game a bit shaky. But A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith are always ready to dominate a game whenever they want.

The Eagles' game plan is simple: run the ball, manage the clock, and play top-notch defense. Jalen Carter and the Philly defensive line typically stop the run, while rookie corners Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean have turned the pass defense into one of the league's best since midseason. Since their Week 5 bye, the Eagles have only given up more than 23 points once.

Philadelphia Eagles Offense: Important Stats

  • The Eagles started 27 drives inside opposing territory this season — most in NFL.

  • The Eagles averaged 13.8 yards per play against a light rush this season — best in NFL; League Avg: 6.9.

  • The Eagles threw the ball 40% of the time (448 Pass Attempts/1,114 plays) this season — lowest in NFL; League Avg: 53%.

  • The Eagles averaged 8.1 yards per play on contested throws this season — 2nd-best in NFL; League Avg: 5.3.

  • Jalen Hurts has hit the Completions Under in 12 of his last 15 games (+8.80 Units / 52% ROI)

  • Jahan Dotson has hit the Receptions Under in 9 of his last 10 games (+8.10 Units / 55% ROI)

  • Jalen Hurts has hit the Pass Attempts Under in 11 of his last 14 games (+7.70 Units / 48% ROI)

The Kansas City Chiefs Team Preview!

Kansas City Chiefs

You're probably up to speed on the Chiefs' season, right? Kansas City barely scraped by in the opener, snagged a one-point win in Week 2, and has been eking out tight wins all year. They went 11-0 in games decided by a single score and snagged the top seed again as they aim to be the first NFL team ever to win three Super Bowls in a row.

Patrick Mahomes is doing his thing, as usual. This season might not have been his best stats-wise, but he still comes through on those crucial third downs and in the clutch. The offense really started clicking towards the end of the season once DeAndre Hopkins got comfortable alongside Travis Kelce, rookie Xavier Worthy, and with Isaiah Pacheco back in action. The offensive line, especially at tackle, has been a bit of a weak link, and while the offense is solid, it's more good than amazing. Maybe they're just gearing up for the playoffs.

The defense started off great but hit a rough patch midseason, especially with pass coverage. Steve Spagnuolo has a knack for getting the team to peak when it counts, and right now, they're on fire with Trent McDuffie leading the secondary.

This isn’t the best Chiefs team we’ve seen, but it still might be a champion.

Kansas City Chiefs Offense: Important Stats

  • The Chiefs averaged just 2.2 yards per play against tight coverage this season — worst in NFL; League Avg: 3.8.

  • The Chiefs have averaged -0.69 epa per play against tight coverage since the 2023 season — worst in NFL; League Avg: -0.47.

  • The Chiefs converted first downs on just 6 of 38 plays (16%) on plays up the middle in the last 4 weeks of the regular season — worst in NFL; League Avg: 32%.

  • The Chiefs had a third down conversion rate of 52% in the 1st half this season — best in NFL; League Avg: 40%.

Best Chiefs Player Props

  • Xavier Worthy has hit the Receptions Over in his last 9 games (+9.80 Units / 86% ROI)

  • DeAndre Hopkins has hit the Receiving Yards Under in his last 8 away games (+8.00 Units / 88% ROI)

  • Samaje Perine has hit the Receiving Yards Over in 8 of his last 9 games (+6.85 Units / 65% ROI)

  • Xavier Worthy has hit the Receiving Yards Over in 8 of his last 9 games (+6.85 Units / 66% ROI)

  • Carson Steele has hit the Rushing Yards Under in his last 6 games (+6.00 Units / 88% ROI)

The Chiefs vs Eagles Game Prediction!

Chiefs vs Eagles Spread Prediction

The Pick: Eagles to cover the spread +3 -145

The Eagles have a few small but important edges that could really make a difference. Their secondary is super aggressive and features Quinyon Mitchell, who's in the running for NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. He's a key player in a defense that gave up the least passing yards per game during the regular season, just 174.2.

The Eagles' front line has been on fire, racking up eight sacks in their last two games. They've been all over the Chiefs, with Mahomes getting knocked down a whopping 70 times this season. On offense, Jalen Hurts hasn't had to do much passing thanks to Barkley's dominance. But if Barkley struggles even a little against a strong run defense, Hurts can easily target the 18th-ranked Kansas City secondary. He'll do great if he keeps focusing on tight end Dallas Goedert, taking advantage of a consistent Chiefs weakness.
