Tampa Bay Buccaneers | +300 | 9-8 |
New Orleans Saints | +350 | 9-8 |
Carolina Panthers | +1100 | 2-15 |
Its amazing to me how the Falcons became instant favorites in the offseason when you look at the NFC South odds for 2024-25 when they signed free agent QB Kirk Cousins. Atlanta has been criticized for their draft strategy, but they are still the favorites to win the division this year? The "experts' that surround the NFL media cant be taken serious anymore in my opinion. I truly believe that this is one of the toughest articles i had to do on futures in the NFL this year because the Buccaneers, Saints, and Panthers could all take a step forward this season and compete for the division title. The NFC South is up for grabs this year!
In this Article we will look at all 4 teams in the NFC South and value their projected odds and break down each team to determine the best approach in what futures we can take not only for the NFC South overall but each individual team in the South! Lets Dig into this years NFC South and dig out some Futures for us to take to the Bank this year!
The NFC South From Last Season
to This Upcoming Season
The NFC South was arguably the worst division in the NFL last season. Tampa Bay won the division with just a 9-8 record, and the Panthers finished with the worst record in the league at 2-15. I'm really expecting The division to be much better this year, and at least one team from the South is guaranteed a playoff spot in my opinion.
Atlanta made one of the biggest moves of the offseason by signing QB Kirk Cousins. The move should help them maximize the strong collection of offensive players. BetUS has the Falcons listed as the -120 favorite to win the NFC South this year and that's truly wild in my eyes.
Tampa Bay, the reigning division champions, has the second-best odds to win the NFC South at +300. They are closely followed by the Saints, who finished with the same record as the Bucs last year, at +350. Carolina rounds out the division as a distant fourth at +1100. Now we See the difference between last season and this upcoming season, lets now dig into these teams and find some futures for the 2024/25 NFL season in the NFC South!

NFC South Team Futures &
Season Predictions
Now We Will look into each Team in the NFC South and find the best Futures and Odds for this upcoming NFL Season! Lets get to work!
The Atlanta Falcons (-120)
NFC South Position in 2023-24: 3rd
Key Players In: QB Kirk Cousins, WR Darnell Mooney, QB Michael Penix Jr.
Key Players Out: TE Jonnu Smith, RB Cordarrelle Patterson, DE Calais Campbell
Head Coach: Raheem Morris
The Falcons are Favored?
The Falcons soared to the top of the NFC South betting odds as soon as they signed Kirk Cousins. Atlanta has been searching for an answer at QB since the hay days of Matt Ryan came to an end.
The team caught a lot of heat for drafting QB Michael Penix, Jr in the first round but obviously them "experts" think it was a power move, because the Falcons are still the favorite to win the division at -120.
Atlanta had their choice of defenders with the eighth overall pick but decided to add depth at quarterback instead. Cousins is recovering from a torn Achilles, but he should be ready to go by the start of the season. If Cousins does miss time, then Penix should be ready to start for the Falcons this season. The Falcons also acquired WR Darnell Mooney and signed multiple veteran defensive players, including cornerbacks Kevin King and Antonio Hamilton. Atlanta also made a change at head coach this offseason. They gave Arthur Smith the boot and hired Raheem Morris to lead the team this season. So this team can be very good if their QB's can step up!
Atlanta Falcons Conference Prediction: 11-6 (3-3 vs NFC South)

Not only is the offense ready to significantly improve, but new head coach Raheem Morris will put an emphasis on making an improving defense even better. This feels like a team that will surprisingly beat quality opponents, yet get caught overlooking easier games on the schedule. It won’t be a perfectly smooth road in 2024, but the Falcons have no excuse to not win the NFC South this year.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+300)
NFC South Position in 2023-24: 1st
Key Players In: C Graham Barton, FS Jordan Whitehead, CB Bryce Hall
Key Players Out: OLB Shaq Barrett, LB Devin White, C Ryan Jensen
Head Coach: Todd Bowles
Will The Bucs Win the Division for two straight Years?
Tampa Bay went 4-1 in its last five games to win the division title last year. Their success down the stretch, combined with the Falcons’ 1-4 skid, was enough to lock up the division and a playoff spot for the Buccaneers. Despite retaining most of its big-name offensive free agents, the Buccaneers are not favored to repeat as division champs this season! The Buccaneers lost Pro Bowl center Ryan Jensen to retirement. They also lost Defensive leaders Shaq Barrett, Devin White, and others left the team in free agency.
The Buccaneers should probably be just a touch better than the Saints this year due to the firepower on offense with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Trey Palmer, Rachaad White and rookies Jalen McMillan and Bucky Irving. Their offensive line stout on the outside while still developing in the middle. I think they have actually went backwards coming into his year so that leaves us to turn to Baker Mayfield. He is deservingly getting respect after last year but without a chip on his shoulder, the drop-off is probably coming. I foresee Mayfield and the team falling apart during the Chiefs and 49ers stretch midseason and struggling to regain form.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Conference Prediction: 7-10 (2-4 vs NFC South)
The Pick : Baker Mayfield under 3650.5 Reg Season Pass Yrds -120
Predicted Results:

Week 18: vs Saints – L
We know that This franchise spent most of free agency focusing on re-signing its stars from last season. The Buccaneers were able to retain both QB Baker Mayfield and WR Mike Evans this offseason. So they will expect a lot from this duo this season but in my opinion, Mayfield is not that great of center to begin with and he is not easy to trust but even if he was dialed in this year i still don't think he has enough weapons to target consistently to hit his season passing yards!
New Orleans Saints (+350)
NFC South Position in 2023-24: 2nd
Key Players In: OT Taliese Fuaga, CB Kool-Aid McKinstry, DE Chase Young
Key Players Out: WR Michael Thomas, QB Jameis Winston, OL Andrus Peat
Head Coach: Dennis Allen
Can The Saints Make Another Conference title push again?
New Orleans nearly won the division last year, finishing with the same 9-8 record as Tampa Bay. However, The Saints had a worse conference record, so they lost the race for the division title and missed out on the postseason entirely. Can they write the wrongs of last year and make another push?
The team lost veterans like quarterback Jameis Winston and offensive lineman Andrus Peat. WR Michael Thomas also left in free agency.
Winston and Thomas have both struggled with injuries in recent years, but they still produced when healthy. New Orleans signed free agent QB Derek Carr last season, but he had a rough first season in New Orleans. Rookies OT Taliese Fuaga, CB Kool-Aid McKinstry, and QB Spencer Rattler could all play major roles on this team in the future.
The New Orleans Saints Conference Prediction: 7-10 (5-1 vs NFC South)
The Pick: NO Saints to Win Division +360 ( cash out play )
Predicted Results:
Week 1: vs Panthers – W
Week 2: @ Cowboys – L

Week 16: @ Packers – L
Week 17: vs Raiders – L
Week 18: @ Buccaneers – W
The Saints did not even come close to my projection last season and now I feel like we know what to expect from them coming into this season. Aside from a few changes like the additions of Chase Young and the rookies Taliese Fuaga and Kool-Aid McKinstry, who should both see the field immediately, this team appears to be running it back with the same group from last year. I can get into their back field and coaching issues but to wrap up the Saint season quickly, I think they may win most games in their division but aside from that, they play some strong teams at the very beginning of the year and finish with cold weather teams and will be on the road for most of them games. That alone is grounds for potential issues for the Saint this season.
Carolina Panthers (+1100)
NFC South Position in 2023-24: 4th
Key Players In: WR Diontae Johnson, LB K’Lavon Chaisson, RB Jonathan Brooks
Key Players Out: LB Brian Burns, TE Hayden Hurst, CB C.J. Henderson
Head Coach: Dave Canales
Will We See Any Change In This Carolina Panthers Team?
Its true what has been said, I am indeed a Panthers Fan at heart but im also a realist and can say that the Carolina Panthers should stink again. However, 3-14 would be an improvement from 2-15 last season. Dave Canales has his hands full as the new head coach of this organization and unfortunately might not make it through the season as head coach. To give the Panthers some credit, adding Diontae Johnson and Xavier Legette feels like a massive improvement for Bryce Young’s receiving options compared to 2023. Drafting Texas rookies Ja’Tavion Sanders at tight end and Jonathon Brooks at running back also gives the offense potential lightning in a bottle.
Despite the addition of offensive guard Robert Hunt, I still don’t trust the offensive line to consistently protect Bryce Young. In his second year in the league, Young should take some strides in the right direction, especially with the added talent in the receiving corps. The same concerns remain for the team’s starting quarterback though. He doesn’t have the arm strength of most other quarterbacks and he struggles in the pocket looking over the line. There are too many flaws in this entire organization to flip the script overnight and their ownership lacks the patience to let things develop. One thing is for sure and that is Myself and all fellow Panthers fans can expect a lot of losses but the tickets will be cheap.
The Carolina Panthers Conference Prediction 3-14 (2-4 vs NFC South)

The Last Team to Round out the division is the Carolina Panthers, who are listed at +1100 in the latest NFC South odds. The Panthers had the worst record in the NFL in 2023-24 but did not have the benefit of the first overall pick. They traded it to Chicago last year for the right to draft QB Bryce Young. He should be able to take a step forward in his second year in the league. However, the rest of the team still lacks sufficient talent to push for a division crown.
The Panthers lost veterans like TE Harden Hurst and CB C.J. Henderson. They also traded away. their best player, LB Brian Burns, for significantly less than they could have received last year. New Head Coach Dave Canales has his work cut out for him with this talent-depleted roster. i dont see the Panthers winning over 5 games this season and should get us a cash on our last future for this NFC South division.
